Hide yourself on Eniro: “Dölj mig” can’t be undone

Läs på svenska

Short answer

Go to Eniro’s page for personal details, find your name and log in with BankID. Press “Dölj mig” (hide me) and confirm with “Ja, dölj” (yes, hide). Then you won’t show up when someone searches for your name or number. Eniro says this can’t be undone.

Eniro shows names, addresses, ages and phone numbers, with a map and street view. You can hide yourself with BankID on Eniro’s own page. It’s free and quick, but think before you press: Eniro says it can’t be undone.

How to hide yourself on Eniro

  1. Open Eniro’s page Uppdatera personuppgifter (update personal details).
  2. Find your name and log in with BankID.
  3. Press “Dölj mig” (hide me) at the top right.
  4. Eniro asks whether you’re sure you want to hide your profile. Confirm with “Ja, dölj” (yes, hide).

According to Eniro, most changes are published shortly after you’ve identified yourself. Kolla själv builds the Eniro search for you, so you can check afterwards that you’re gone.

“Dölj mig” can’t be undone

In the confirmation, Eniro says you won’t appear in the search results when someone searches for your name or number, and that you can’t undo it once you’ve chosen to hide your profile. If you only want to get rid of the address, there’s “Ta bort adress” (remove address), which removes the address but leaves the rest of the profile visible.

Eniro passes your search on to Google

When you search for a person on Eniro, the page also sends the search to a built-in Google search, so Google gets the name you searched for. We saw this when we tried Eniro’s search in October 2026. Keep it in mind when you search for yourself, and for others.

Without BankID

Eniro’s self-service requires BankID. Instead, email Eniro’s customer service for private customers, privatpersoner@eniro.com. According to Eniro, you can ask there to have your phone number removed.

You can also send an erasure request under the GDPR to Eniro’s data protection officer, dataprotectionoffice@eniro.com, or by post to Eniro Sverige AB, Box 4085, 169 04 Solna. Eniro says its website is protected by the Freedom of Expression Act and that the GDPR therefore doesn’t apply. Since the EU Court’s ruling in July 2026, that is no longer a given. Where the law stands now.

What remains afterwards

  • Your number at the operator. Eniro gets data from sources including your phone operator. Ask for an unlisted number, so it isn’t passed on to directory services and doesn’t come back. Here’s how.
  • Google. Search results that lead to your Eniro page can stay for a while, until Google reads the page again. You can ask Google to remove them. Here’s how.
  • The Swedish Tax Agency. Eniro’s data comes from public authorities and the operators, and the authorities keep it. Anyone can ask Skatteverket for your address.
  • Other sites. Ratsit, MrKoll, Hitta, Merinfo and others show the same kind of data. Read how to remove yourself from them, or check where you’re listed straight away.
