Make your number unlisted: Telia, Tele2, Tre and Telenor
Short answer
At Telia and Tele2, you turn on an unlisted number in Mitt Telia or Mitt Tele2. Tre and Telenor only share your number if you’ve consented, and you withdraw that consent in Mitt3 or with Telenor. It stops new sharing, but what directory services already have can stay. Remove yourself from them too.
Hitta, Eniro and other directory services get phone numbers from the operators. If you remove yourself from the sites but leave your number searchable, your details can come back, and Hitta itself warns about this. So ask your operator for an unlisted number (hemligt nummer). Then your number stops being passed on at the source.
Unlisted or hidden?
- Unlisted number (hemligt nummer): your number isn’t passed on to directory services. This is what you want.
- Hidden number (dolt nummer): your number isn’t shown when you call, but it can still be listed in directories.
Tele2 points out that your number is still shown to the recipient when you send texts or MMS, with both an unlisted and a hidden number.

- Go to Inställningar (settings), then Samtalsinställningar (call settings).

Remove yourself from the directories too
